Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, Oh my God, to hear my prayers and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and of His blessed mother. Amen.
(It is piously believed that whoever recites the above prayers fifteen times a day from the feast of St. Andrew (30th November) until Christmas will obtained what is asked.)

Let us pray. Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts: that as we have known the incarnation of Thy Son Jesus Christ by the message of an Angel, so too by His Cross and passion may we be brought to the glory of His resurrection. Amen.
